What You Get: • Approximately 250 lbs hanging weight (yields roughly 175-190 lbs of packaged beef) • Complete variety of cuts from nose to tail, including premium steaks, roasts, brisket, ribs, and ground beef • Custom cutting instructions - work directly with our butcher to specify steak thickness, roast size, ground beef packaging, and specialty items • Vacuum-sealed, clearly labeled packages for easy freezer organization • The satisfaction of knowing exactly where your meat comes from and how it was raised

The Bowed G Farms Difference: Each animal is raised on our Pierce and Thurston County pastures with plenty of space to roam naturally. We practice regenerative farming methods that prioritize animal welfare and environmental stewardship. Our beef is dry-aged for 14-21 days after harvest, developing deeper flavor and tenderness that mass-produced beef simply can't match.

Ordering Process:

  1. Select your preferred breed and place a $500 deposit to reserve your half cow

  2. Communicate any special processing requests (we offer Halal processing and fully grass-fed options upon request*)

  3. We'll contact you when your beef is ready for processing

  4. Final cost is calculated based on hanging weight plus butcher and processing fees

  5. Pick up your packaged beef either at our farm or directly from the butcher

Practical Details: • Requires approximately 8 cubic feet of freezer space • Typically provides 6-8 months of beef for a family of four • *Special processing methods like Halal or fully grass-fed may require longer wait times as we need to process full animals with these specifications

Connect With Your Food: Unlike anonymous grocery store meat, you'll have direct access to both Farmer Ed and our butcher to answer questions about your beef, provide cooking tips, or explain any cut. We believe transparency creates trust and better food experiences.

Note: Final price is determined by the actual hanging weight of your specific half cow. For example, a 250 lb hanging weight American Wagyu half cow would cost $1,875 for the beef (250 × $7.50), plus processing fees, minus your $500 deposit.
